The Hanadama grade is the highest quality of Japanese Akoya Pearls, certified by the Japan Pearl Science Laboratory and translates to Flower Pearl. Only about 2% of the yearly Akoya cultured pearl harvest qualifies for this grade. This exquisite necklace consists of perfectly round and extremely lustrous Hanadama pearls, ranging from 6.5-7.0mm in size, strung with silk thread and double-knotted between each pearl. A 14K gold clasp comes standard, but premium clasps are available for an additional cost. Akoya pearls are considered the 'icon' of cultured pearls and have been a popular choice for women's jewelry for decades. Absolute Pearl sources their Akoya pearls from the saltwaters of Japan, where they are grown in the Pinctada fucata oyster. Each of our Akoya pearl necklaces is meticulously crafted on site with attention to detail, resulting in truly beautiful pieces.
